Weblog? What weblog? Friday, November 28, 2003: Thanksgiving Break Day 3 I’m soooooo glad I decided to go to the cabins last night – it was awesome. The cabins are from 1865, and they are all the original structures. Jon took us of a tour on all the cabins, and showed us one of his cool cars- he has an Excalibur!!!! It’s the 7th one of 35 that were made its year. He also has a Corvette, but we didn’t get to see it. We stayed in the main cabin, and we each got our own bedrooms/bathrooms, which was really cool- my bathroom had a whirlpool bathtub in it! (which of course, I tried out ^_~) 10am: Just got back from the cabins- Jon’s making breakfast and it smells great!! 11am: It’s starting to snow- when you look out the window it feels like you’re in a giant snow-globe! ^_^ I could just stare out the windows for hours…it’s so beautiful!! *mesmerized by the swirling snowflakes * 1-5pm: shopping! The main street is really old, and all the storefronts and lamposts were decorated with pine garalands and bows, so it looked like something right out of a christmas movie. We wandered in and out of the shops, and here’s what I wound up purchasing: 1 large handmade glass marble (because darn it, marbles are cool!), 2 pairs of crystal earrings (hearts and stars, ½ off- booyah!) and a “genius” magnetic poetry set (because I’ve always wanted a set of magnetic words…and it was half as much as the original set hahaha). ^_^ About halfway through shopping I found my relatives and I had lost each other, so I went to the other stores I wanted to go to, then wandered back to my aunts coffee shop and helped the girl who was working there till they found me again. ^_^ 6pm: We all went out to eat at the Log Cabin steakhouse downtown- it was really good ^_^ Even though Alex’s birthday was the day before Thanksgiving, Oma insisted that he have a candle in his ice cream, so we all sang happy birthday to him again. Happy 17th Alex! 9pm: Well, most everyone has gone to bed, so I’m going to post this now and fire off some e-mails ^_~ Tune in again tomorrow folks!
